Ever since I founded my Estate Winery in 2005, I have always strived to produce ultra premium VQA wines that would showcase Niagara, a world-class wine growing region where my family has deep roots. While my focus continues to be the production of quality wines, I am especially proud that the proceeds from the sale of my wine have always gone to the Mike Weir Charitable Foundation which assists the many causes that support children in physical, emotional or financial need. The Mike Weir Wine winery announced plans to produce wine in conjunction with the famed Chateau des Charmes in Niagara-on-the-Lake, one of Canada's oldest and most decorated wineries. This move has allowed the winery access to over 300 acres of pristine VQA vineyards enhancing the wine quality and allowing for greater growth.
In 3 short years sales volume increased to 30,000 cases and Mike Weir Chardonnay and Cabernet Merlot were available in every across Canada. To address this historical growth and to poise itself for the future the winery embarked on a number of initiatives in 2009. Read more...

This is a very fruit driven and simple chardonnay with ripe almost floral apple core fruitiness and some buttery character. Very little oak. It’s medium weight, a touch sweet and then tart, with firm acidity. Good length. Serve well chilled as a sipper, or with mild fish and white meat preparations...

Golfer Mike Weir spent a fair bit of his childhood in the Niagara region, and the first wine he tasted from the area came from his grandfather’s farm. So it’s not surprising that when the Master decided to take a swing at winemaking, Niagara was the region of choice ...
