Tasting Notes

A real thirst quencher! This aromatic nose of red fruits including cranberry and strawberry is followed by a round, harmonious and seamless palate. Dry, medium bodied and robust this is fruit, spicy and savoury all at once. This wine will seduce you by its freshness and elegance.

Chill and serve up with some barbequed fare!

Ageing: Wine is drinking beautifully now but will continue to develop in the next  2-3 years.


Technical Notes

This is not your typical pink wine. Styled to be bolder than most, this textured and tasty rose new to the Mike Weir Wine portfolio approaches Rose in a drier fashion with only 7 g/l of sugar. A blend of several grapes was used, with the final breakdown carefully selected depending on how the individual varieties performed in this vintage of 2009. It’s a proprietary blend secret though its built around Cabernet.

The result is a sophisticated Rose that reflects the Niagara terroir.
